The Problems Humanity Faces Are Not New. But the Speed at Which They're Compounding Is.

IHA builds the leaders, enterprises, systems, and knowledge that advance human capacity to meet this moment.

Six Interconnected Problems. One Institution.

1

Economic Exclusion & Poverty

1.4 billion people live in extreme poverty worldwide.

Locked out — not from lack of ambition, but lack of access to systems, networks, and capital.

IHA Response: Venture Studios + Workforce Development

2

Healthcare Access & Health Equity

Half the world lacks access to essential health services.

Critical shortages of workers, facilities, and sustainable delivery models — in the US and across the Global South.

IHA Response: Healthcare Innovation + Workforce Training

3

The AI Divide

44% of workers' core skills will be disrupted within 5 years.

Most AI education is too technical or too shallow to close the gap. The workforce isn't ready.

IHA Response: IHA AI Academy — 4 tracks, 5 tiers

4

Underdeveloped Leadership

Only 23% of employees say their leaders communicate effectively.

Systems are advancing faster than the humans leading them. The gap is moral, developmental, and strategic.

IHA Response: Grace-Centered Leadership Programs

5

Entrepreneurship Gap

Less than 2% of VC funding reaches Black founders.

The entrepreneurship ecosystem overwhelmingly serves the already privileged. Wealth creation is locked out of entire communities.

IHA Response: Venture Studios + DeepFutures Capital

6

Global Cross-Border Inequality

$150B+ in annual aid creates dependency, not self-sustaining systems.

Traditional development models — donor-funded, project-based — fail to create lasting prosperity.

IHA Response: Perpetual Engine Model

How We Solve Them: Think. Build. Fund. Sustain.

THINK

Original research, frameworks, and models that redefine how institutions approach human advancement.

BUILD

Direct programs — AI education, workforce development, leadership formation, venture studios, healthcare innovation.

FUND

DeepFutures Capital deploys impact investment to scale what IHA develops and proves.

SUSTAIN

The Perpetual Engine: 10% of all commercial revenue automatically funds community programs. Permanently.

Most organizations choose one lane. IHA does all four. And because each function feeds the others, the institution compounds in capability over time.

01

Commercial Revenue

IHA programs, certifications, and enterprise contracts generate sustainable operating income.

02

10% Allocation

Ten percent of all commercial revenue is permanently allocated to community impact programs.

03

Community Programs

Scholarships, free workforce training, and subsidized healthcare reach those who need it most.

04

Human Advancement

Empowered communities produce new leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals — feeding the next cycle.

This isn't charity. It's architecture.

10% of all commercial revenue automatically flows back to fund programs for communities that cannot afford to pay — through scholarships, subsidized training, free healthcare services, and community development. This isn't charity. It's architecture.

The central crisis of our time is not a lack of innovation, capital, or systems — but the underdevelopment of human capacity to lead wisely within them.

Built to Last

The Institute for Human Advancement began in 2017 as Global Development Initiative — a grassroots effort to address the structural barriers facing underserved communities across education, healthcare, and economic access.

Over nearly a decade, what started as community-level work evolved into an institutional framework: a multi-vertical nonprofit combining rigorous research, direct programs, and sustainable financing through the Perpetual Engine model — designed to outlast any single grant cycle, any individual leader, and any passing trend.

The Perpetual Engine: Why 10% Changes Everything
